David Cobley is an experienced portrait painter, and his paintings of Sir Ken Dodd and Martin Evans form part of the national portrait galleries permanent collection. Other sitter includes David Attenborough and members of the Royal family, as well as leading academics, politicians, business and cultural figures.

He is fascinated by people, but paints everything from tractors to tin cans. He has lived and worked in Devizes since 2013.
