Painting in watercolour David does not seek total precision but an evocative representation of his subjects, mostly landscapes, buildings and boats, with plenty of energy in the finished work. He has shown his work widely from Bath to Newbury, and a selection of his recent paintings is always on display in the window and upstairs gallery at the Handel House Bookshop in Devizes.
